An ExxonMobil spokesman confirmed on Friday that the company’s offshore oil project “yellowtail” in Guyana has been approved by the local environmental protection bureau for construction and operation. In recent years, ExxonMobil plans to focus on key strategic core businesses such as the Permian Basin, Guyana and Brazil. When the yellowtail project starts production in 2025, it will produce up to 250000 barrels per day.
