It is alleged that Anand Persaud Rambarose aka “Tractor” aged 62 yrs of Belvedere Corentyne Berbice died by suicide.
According to the dead man’s son Chetram Rambarose called Sanjay, he went home from work and met his father vomiting inside their kitchen.
As such he questioned his father to know what happened. Rambarose said that he consumed poison and he is going to die.
The elderly man was then rushed to the Port Mourant Public hospital where he was seen, examined by doctors, and admitted as a patient.
Rambarose was an alcoholic and made several attempts to take his own life but was unsuccessful due to family members preventing him from doing same. He succumbed early on Saturday.
Investigations are ongoing.
